The Richard Hoggart Building has lots of spaces to hire including the Great Hall, lecture theatres and classrooms, a cinema, and the Refectory and Balcony for dining or exhibitions.
The Great Hall is an incredibly versatile space which can host a multitude of events, including concerts, graduation ceremonies, meetings, conferences, exhibitions, exams and formal dinners. The Great Hall can seat up to 580 people in the auditorium and 140 in the balcony, giving a total capacity of 720. In close proximity to the Great Hall, there are approximately 28 classrooms seating 20 to 120 people which are ideal for breakout sessions and can accommodate versatile set-ups to include U shape, boardroom, cabaret and theatre style.
The Cinema seats a maximum of 101 people and is perfect for business presentations and we offer a range of competitive packages for kid’s birthday parties.
The glass fronted Professor Stuart Hall Building (PSH) overlooking the College green offers a lecture theatre which seats 250 and a screening room which can seat 120 people. Both spaces lead into the Weston Atrium where catering can be served or exhibitions can be hosted. In addition there are five breakout rooms located on the third floor seating 20 to 70 people.
Situated nearby in the Whitehead building, the Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre provides tiered seating for up to 290 people as well as a foyer area suitable for both catering and exhibition.
All of these buildings are situated around our tranquil College green which can hold up to 500 people for BBQ's, picnics, marquee events, sports days, drinks receptions and filming.
Deptford Town Hall is a Grade II listed building and houses the magnificent Council Chamber and various meeting rooms. The Council Chamber seats 80 people in tiered, fixed seating with additional floor space which can accommodate a further 120 seated guest. It’s the perfect space for meetings, music recitals and evening receptions with AV provision as well as housing a Steinway grand piano. The boardroom and additional meeting rooms vary in size with a maximum capacity of 28 people and are ideal for board meetings, smaller presentations and training.
Our Day Delegate Rates include catering throughout the day, plenary room hire, AV within each conference room, wi-fi, water for delegates/speakers, conference folders and full event support on the day.
Our catering team are very flexible and can also offer gluten free and vegan options for all our packages, upon request. Minimum numbers apply and do vary from menu to menu.
Goldsmiths also offers accommodation for both residential conferences, summer schools and individual room bookings. Loring Hall offers single en-suite bedrooms with private bathrooms, to include accessible rooms, with shared kitchens.
